Category Procurement Manager Operations

40 hours, location Oudenhoorn/Lommel


What does your team look like?

Farm Frites Procurement has embraced the framework of ‘Procurement Category Management’ which will give you a strong foundation to deliver your 3-year strategy. You are part of a team of 5 colleague category managers and will report directly into the Procurement Director. Procurement is part of Supply Chain. In this role you work in close collaboration and alignment with your stakeholders that will vary from the boardroom to the backroom of our company. What will you be doing?

Farm Frites has identified a professional and well-developed procurement function as ‘mission critical’ to deliver its 2020 strategic goals. Procurement is expected to deliver significant value to Farm Frites’ business by means of:

  • Realizing a competitive cost base trough intelligent sourcing strategies with firm commitment on securing safety, quality and reliability for the business;
  • Ensuring committed suppliers who are able to deal with Farm Frites business dynamics and are highly determined to contribute to the success of Farm Frites in the market;
  • Being ahead of the market for supplier innovations (‘outside-in’) reinforcing Farm Frites’ capabilities throughout the entire value chain.
  • Owning the entire process from sourcing strategy until delivery and implementation of the results.
  • Driving your designated spend categories towards success in a responsible and sustainable way with high personal autonomy and mandate.


What do you need?

  • Bachelor Degree, in the field of Economics or Logistics.
  • Minimum 5 or more years of relevant work experience and potential to grow within the division.
  • Good analytical skills, with a good balance between practical and intellectual and have the ability to switch between short and long term.
  • Talent to create from scratch, self-starting with proven skills in project management, planning and organization.
  • Positive, proactive and result driven attitude with strong developed communicative skills and networking capabilities. A high drive to win and to beat competition.
  • Passionate about fries and production processes.
  • Excellent language skills, orally and written, in Dutch and English.
  • Travel 30%.
